Changelog

* Sat Aug 08 2026 Martin Pluskal <mpluskal@suse.com>
  - Update to release 26.08:
    * SDL3 support was declared production ready in 25.02 and
      became the default CMake configuration in 25.03
    * Added a NEON implementation of the sample mixing routine
      for AArch64
    * Reworked resampling to use a proper "taps" system
    * Added the CollectorEXT extension
    * Added support for FAudioBuffer ADPCM/WMA data with
      misaligned AudioBytes sizes
    * WMA support is now a CMake toggle separate from the
      Wine/Win32 target, still off by default
    * Extensive FACT rework: input validation across the
      user-facing API calls, human-readable constants in place
      of magic numbers, proper error return codes and a
      reworked WaveBank notification strategy
    * FACT: fixed crashes with Waves that have no parent Cue,
      with Cues hitting the max instance limit, and a
      write-to-null when initialising the first WaveBank
    * Fixed a crash when setting effect parameters on a voice
      with no effect chain
    * Fixed possible crashes in the SIMD routines when resample
      requests are smaller than 16 bytes
    * Fixed effects memory being leaked when a voice's effect
      chain was freed
    * Fixed a use-after-free when logging API exits in
      DestroyVoice
    * Several ADPCM/MSADPCM decoder offset and block boundary
      fixes, and timing fixes for OnBufferStart, OnBufferEnd
      and pCurrentBufferContext state
    * Fixed the default channel mask for 7.1 audio to match the
      OS and SDL defaults
    * Voices no longer refcount the FAudio context; FAudio_Release
      destroys all voices once the refcount reaches 0
    * CMake: fixed errors introduced with CMake 4.0 and fixed
      the pkg-config libdir and includedir
  - Build against SDL3 rather than SDL2, following upstream,
    which now documents SDL 3.2.0 as its sole dependency and
    treats the SDL2 backend as legacy. libFAudio0 now links
    libSDL3.so.0 and FAudio-devel requires pkgconfig(sdl3).
  - Drop faudio-older-sdl2.patch: it was only applied for
    suse_version < 1550, which no repository of the devel
    project targets any more, it patches the unused SDL2
    backend, and its second hunk defined FAudio_exp() as
    SDL_log() instead of SDL_exp().
  - Require gcc rather than gcc-c++: FAudio is declared as a pure
    C project and the only C++ sources live under utils/, which is
    not built.
  - Drop the unused unzip BuildRequires.
  - Run the upstream unit tests in %check with BUILD_TESTS=ON
    and the SDL dummy audio driver.
  - Drop -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release so that the openSUSE default
    of RelWithDebInfo applies and the debuginfo is usable.
  - Install the CMake package directory as a whole, as upstream
    renamed the exported target files to
    FAudio-targets-shared*.cmake.

    * Wine/Win32:
    * Fix a crash when GetDefaultAudioEndpoint fails
    * Exit cleanly when opened audio devices disconnect
    * Properly list all audio devices, rather than just the default
